About

Ridgeway Farm Stud, is a new, boutique Stud focused on the breeding and production of top level show jumpers. Based in an area of outstanding beauty in Surrey, in the UK, we have a new purpose built yard with excellent facilities: 90 x 60 outdoor arena; a 7 acre grass jumping field; solarium; horse-walker; turn-out paddocks and beautiful hacking.  For our clients we have a beautiful converted barn for overnight accommodation; and a purpose built meeting room, both with wifi and all the necessary communications  technology.

Our vision is to strive to achieve the top level in both show jumping and eventing and to become a leading European stud of first choice with an outstanding reputation for producing and selling the best show jumping horses to our clients. We stand two stallions, the world renowned Peppermill, by Burggraaf out of a Voltaire mare, who jumped for Great Britain innumerable times, and Pepper D’Or, by Zinedine out of a For Fashion mare, who showcases the very best of modern bloodlines.

Toby Duthie is the chairman of the Stud and Becky Stones the Managing Director. The Stud is co-owned by Becky and Toby who have each worked in the Financial Sector for 25 years and have had many years of success owning top show jumpers. Becky and Toby’s most successful horses to date have been Peppermill, (ridden by John Whitaker, MBE and British Equestrian Olympian,) and Hello Forever, (ridden by Scott Brash, MBE and Olympic Gold Medalist.). Both horses have been recognized as world class with Peppermill representing Great Britain at the Olympics, World Games and European Championships. Becky was recognised as one of the UK’s top achieving women by “Woman of the Year” in 2017 and Toby was awarded the number one, world-wide, Investigations Forensic Accountant of the Year in 2018 by “Who is Who”.

Becky is a hands on Managing Director setting the vision, strategy and annual milestones for Ridgeway Farm Stud. She oversees the overall activities of the stud including the buying of potential top class young horses and the structured development program for each of the sport horses at the stud.

Duncan Inglis is the Chief Operating Officer of the stud and lead trainer for all the show jumpers. Duncan has an unsurpassed experience and dedication in horsemanship. He was a member of the British team for many years before focussing on the breeding and production of many successful young horses. Duncan is an advisor at several top yards in Europe and is well known for his outstanding knowledge and expertise.

Duncan defines all the key operating procedures for the stud which the team then follow. Additionally, Duncan sets the tailored maintenance program for each individual horse working with our vet, Rory O’shea, Peter Moloney, Cecilie Tofte,  and all the stud team. We pride ourselves that our horses are maintained to the highest of standards leveraging all current up to date technologies together with feeding and supplement regimes. Every horse has its own file with weekly exercise programs, feed and supplements,  x ray history, blood tests, vet reports etc. We look to share these files with clients to give ultimate transparency of our horses and set a new standard for such transparency in the future.

Peter Moloney and Cecilie Tofte are the International Riders and Producers at Ridgeway. Cecilie combines this role with that of Stud Manager.

He has been part of the Irish show jumping team in ponies and juniors before being selected as part of the 2019 Senior Nations Cup team where he represented his country at Europeans and was part of the winning team in the Longines Nations Cup final in Barcelona securing Olympic Qualification for his country. Peter was previously part of Team Harmony where he had a lot of success winning a number of Grand Prix’s internationally. During this time he received training from Swiss show jumper Markus Fuchs and most recently fellow Irish team mate Cian O’Connor.

Cecilie has represented Denmark at several European Championships at pony, junior and young rider level, emphasising her excellent record in Young Riders by becoming Nordic Individual and Team Champion in 2008. Moving on to senior ranks Cecilie made her senior team debut for Denmark in 2011 in the CSIO5* Nations Cup of Great Britain at Hickstead, and the CSIO5* Nations Cup of Ireland in Dublin.

Cecilie then worked a number of years at the global company ISS before making a successful return to the international show jumping stage at Thermal CA in the spring of 2020.

We are thrilled that Cecilie is able to bring her wealth of riding talent and experience to Ridgeway Farm Stud while using her business skills to manage the stud.
